When you place the tablet in water, a redox reaction occurs between the magnesium, acidic additives and water. The process is as follows:
Mg + 2H₂O → Mg(OH)₂ + H₂
This reaction splits water (H₂O) into hydrogen gas (H₂) and magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)₂). The hydrogen gas is released as molecular hydrogen and dissolves in the water, enriching it with hydrogen-rich water.
Once the tablet is dissolved, the resulting water becomes infused with hydrogen molecules.
Hydrogen-rich water is regular water that has been infused with molecular hydrogen gas (H2). While water (H2O) naturally consists of two hydrogen atoms bonded to one oxygen atom, hydrogen-rich water contains additional dissolved hydrogen gas. This creates a unique solution where extra hydrogen molecules are present alongside the water.
Effects are immediate upon consumption however will vary based on lifestyle factors such as nutrition, stress and other supplementation.
In most our clinical studies, the trial periods were at least 4 weeks (30 days). We recommend at least a single consistent daily dose for 30 days for optimal results.

If you are adding electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, magnesium these are best added after the H2 tablet has completely dissolved.
Studies and user experience suggest one serve first thing in the morning or between meals, ideally on an empty stomach. Up to 4–6 tablets per day can be used.
A post-exercise serve may also support recovery. Some athletes choose two serves in the morning and additional serves around training.
