I’ve now been fully committed to an alkaline lifestyle for 25 years from the day I first sampled ionized water. I’m now 79 and apart from brain damage when I fell off a ladder 3 years ago, I can say I’m doing well, and whenever I see friends who have either been vegan for a long time Or ‘moderate eaters who eat whatever they like…. well, I compare very well.
’ve learned a great deal over that time and seen great changes in what is on offer in the marketplace that theoretically helps me remain healthy, and I need to say that a healthy dose of skepticism at the claims that are made is very useful.
What has become obvious too is that our business, AlkaWay, cannot afford to offer something that doesn’t live up to its promises.
I’m well aware that there’s an ongoing race by entrepreneurs to get ‘the latest and the best” , often disregarding the need to be really confident that the manufacturer’s claims and longevity of serviceable use. It’s an attitude that has come after a long ‘apprenticeship” in product testing and selection – not always happy.
But as painful as adequate product testing may be, it’s more painfual for me and our small team to lose a client because a product fails them. I know through rzperience that a startup competitor will make axaggerated claims because in their early days they are often ;close to the wind’ in money terms and so the temptation to grab an untested product is greater. I’m frankly quite amazed t the fact that a new water filter shows up almost every week and often claims to have 4000 people’s testimonials.
