Magnetic Strength and Design

• GoFlow vs Growflow: GoFlow units use the same Neodymium magnet material as Growflow, but the magnets are smaller, fewer in number, and arranged in a simpler layout. As a result:

  • GoFlow has approximately 1/3 the magnetic strength of Growflow units.

Pipe Compatibility and Installation

• GoFlow units are multi-fit and adaptable, designed for pipes with an outside diameter from under 10mm up to 25mm.

• Installation is easy using bolts or cable ties, and the units can be fitted independently of water flow direction.

• Multiple magnetic field orientations ensure maximum interaction with moving water, helping reduce scale buildup and soften water effectively.

Do Magnets Structure Water?

Water molecules form clusters due to hydrogen bonds. A strong magnetic field can temporarily influence cluster size, such as:

• breaking large clusters into smaller clusters

• slightly increasing molecular mobility

These effects:

• are subtle

• require a strong field (neodymium is ideal)

• can revert after hours

Some people describe this as “structured water,” but it’s not permanent.

How Neodymium Magnets Influence Water?

Neodymium magnets create a strong magnetic field. This magnetic field can influence ions in the water, mainly calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and carbonate ions (CO₃²⁻). This changes how these minerals cluster and how they crystallise.

Hard-water minerals usually form large, sticky crystals (calcite), which cling to pipes and surfaces. A magnetic field can encourage the formation of aragonite, a different crystal shape that:

• is smaller

• doesn’t stick

• stays suspended

• flushes out more easily

This is why magnetic water conditioners reduce limescale appearance, without removing the minerals. This is the main scientifically observed effect.
