New and Improved MATRIKX® carbon blocks.
What is the difference?
For the 20″ × 4.5″ Big Blue cartridges, the main difference is that Matrikx ChloraGuard has substantially greater chlorine and chloramine capacity than the MatrikX CTO Plus or MatrikX Carbon CTO. The PFAS, VOC, micron rating and pressure-drop specifications are essentially the same.
The manufacturer’s data shows that ChloraGuard provides:
- approximately 50% greater chlorine capacity
- approximately double the chloramine capacity
- the same published PFAS and VOC capacities
- the same nominal filtration and pressure drop as CTO Plus
Eco-friendly materials used
Made from 100% coconut shell activated carbon, a renewable and eco-friendly material, the standard MATRIKX® line has been Certified for Sustainability by WQA. MATRIKX® products not only deliver industry leading performance and value, they are also manufactured using sustainable materials and a process that is kind to the environment.
