What is a Jubilee Fitting?
A Jubilee fitting is a practical, universal tap adaptor designed for situations where a flow diverter cannot screw directly onto a tap aerator. It is especially useful for older-style taps, smooth-ended taps, or taps without removable aerators.
Please [click here] for details on how to measure your tap aerator.
The fitting consists of three main parts:
-
Rubber Sleeve: A flexible rubber sleeve that slides over the end of the tap. It creates a watertight seal once tightened.
-
Stainless Steel Clamp: A metal band with a screw-tightening mechanism (similar to a hose clamp) that compresses the rubber sleeve firmly around the tap, holding it securely in place.
-
Brass Threaded End: At the front of the fitting, a brass male thread is provided. This allows a standard flow diverter to be screwed onto the fitting, usually a 21.8 mm female-threaded diverter.
By combining flexibility with strength, the Jubilee fitting makes it possible to attach a benchtop water filter system to almost any round tap under 20 mm in diameter, even if the tap does not have compatible threading. It provides a strong, leak-resistant connection while remaining easy to remove if needed.
