Filter replacement:
-
You should replace the filter when the lowest-capacity contaminant (usually fluoride or PFAS) reaches its limit.
-
For most households using 6–10 L/day, expect to replace the filter every 6–8 months.
-
If you’re targeting fluoride or PFAS specifically, and using 8 L/day, the filter may last only 6–7 months.
-
If you’re only concerned about chloramine or lead, you can wait much longer.
Daily Usage | Fluoride Capacity (1,800 L) | PFAS Capacity (1,645 L) | Chloramine Capacity (20,000 L) |
---|---|---|---|
4 L/day (light use) | 450 days (~15 months) | 411 days (~13.5 months) | 5,000 days (~13.7 years) |
8 L/day (average use) | 225 days (~7.5 months) | 205 days (~7 months) | 2,500 days (~7 years) |
12 L/day (family use) | 150 days (~5 months) | 137 days (~4.5 months) | 1,666 days (~4.5 years) |
🛠️ Connection Steps for fridge:
-
Turn off the water at your cold water source.
-
Install a tee fitting or saddle valve where the fridge water line originates — usually under the sink.
-
Run ¼” tubing from the cold water source to the inlet of the filter.
-
Mount the filter inside the cupboard using the bracket.
-
Connect another ¼” tube from the outlet of the filter to your fridge water inlet.
-
Turn the water on slowly and check for leaks.
-
Flush the filter for 5–10 minutes before first use.
🛠️ Connection Steps for dedicated filter tap:
-
Turn off cold water at the shutoff valve under your sink.
-
Install a T-valve or angle stop adapter on the cold water line to branch a ¼” tube to the filter.
-
Mount the filter housing using the supplied bracket.
-
Run ¼″ tubing from the T-valve → filter inlet.
-
Run another ¼″ tube from the filter outlet → dedicated filter tap.
-
Turn water back on and flush filter for 5–10 minutes before use.
🧼 Maintenance Tip
When it’s time to replace the filter (usually every 6–8 months if targeting fluoride or PFAS), shut off the ball valve, unscrew the housing with the provided wrench, and replace the cartridge. No need to remove the tubing connections.
