Biostone Plus Filter
The Biostone Plus filter is a multi-stage replacement filter that targets both pathogens and chemical contaminants.
Here’s what it removes:
🔹 Sediment & particles – dirt, rust, sand, silt, etc.
🔹 Chlorine & chloramines – improves taste, odor, and safety.
🔹 Heavy metals – such as lead, mercury, and other toxic metals.
🔹 Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) – pesticides, herbicides, industrial solvents.
🔹 Cysts, bacteria & protozoa – thanks to its 0.01-micron hollow fibre membrane (similar to medical dialysis membranes).
🔹 Some fluoride reduction (but not complete removal – for that, activated alumina is needed).
It’s essentially a combination carbon + ceramic + hollow fibre filter, so it’s both a purifier and a fine filter.
⚡ Key point: The Biostone Plus is designed to make water safe (removing pathogens) and clean (removing chemicals and heavy metals) while leaving beneficial minerals intact for ionization.
The Activated Carbon is impregnated with silver

Silver is antimicrobial → it inhibits the growth of bacteria inside the carbon filter.

Activated carbon traps organic material, which can sometimes become a breeding ground for microbes if water sits too long. Silver prevents this.

The silver is bonded into the carbon, so it doesn’t leach into the water at harmful levels.
⚡ So, the Biostone Plus uses silver-impregnated carbon + a 0.01-micron hollow fibre filter, which means it can remove contaminants and control bacteria growth inside the cartridge.
