When we posted our original story on this particularly NASTY waterborne threat to anyone with a hose on a farm, we had many, many hundreds of people read it and talk to us.

Here’s a little more on the brain eating amoeba, and it’s good news. The amoeba, Naegleria fowleri is a thermophilic, free-living amoeba. What we wanted to know was whether it would get through our whole of house filtration systems or our UltraStream. The good news is that it’s scyst form (the form it takes when ingested) is 7-7 microns, which in water filtration terms is large, and our systems will exclude it.
