The Joys of Owning a Fill2Pure Portable Water Filter

Robin Backhouse is the face of AlkaWay in WA. (Hmm. perhaps she should call herself AlkaWAy…) She’s a serious alkalarian and a wonderful walking advertisement for the results of an alkaline lifestyle.

This pic of her in Tassie filling her Fill2Pure from a lake reminded me of all the times I found amazing places to fill mine from natural and beautiful water sources. If you are over her way, give her a call or facebook poke her for everything alkaline, including the amazing Fill2Pure.

With Morthern Spears, creator of the Gratitude Diary, we sallied forth last night to Steve Snow’s Fins Restaurant. Steve moved from Byron Bay a couple of years ago when the Beach Hotel, owned by his friends Strop and Delvene Delaney was sold. His new Fins is a wonderful spot, part indoor, part outdoor, and the food (predominantly seafood) was.. well, it was beyond superlatives. Perhaps it was the wine.. but Cassie, Morthern and I had (we all agreed) the most memorable dining experience for years.

When Steve learned we had arrived, he came out to see us. I’ve known him for more years than I care to contemplate and he’s looking fantastic. Steve still drinks alkaline ionized water from his trusty AlkaWay Melody every day, and is, like Morthern, a real devotee of alkaline philosophy. We ordered our favourite alkaline water, the redoubtable San Pellegrino, and Steve said they don’t stock it. He brought out an elegant bottle of a locally bottled water “Mt Warning’, and filled me in. ‘Firstly, he said, the food miles ona  bottle of water from Italy are just ridiculous.’ I can’t argue with that. ‘Secondly, ‘ he said, Mt Warning Spring Water has a better alkaline pH than San Pelllegrino.’ This one floored me because in my experience all the springs in this area are acidic due to the high  rainfall and saturation of organic matter that leaches into the water table. But here was living proof. There is, at last, a good alkaline water available in Australia.

Steve travels a great deal. As well as his Fins restaurant, he now operates a restaurant in Portugal at the most westerly point of Europe. He loves to have alkaline ionized water wherever he goes, and has been using an AlkaPod. However when he learned that we now have the Fill2Pure with alkaline sachets he was elated. The AlkaPod, while an excellent ionizer, has its limits for anyone wanting a larger amount of water available. It also only performs only basic chlorine reduction while the Fill2Pure boasts lab-proven up to 99.999 percent filtration as you drink!

So good being able to assist with no self-benefit. I found a guy on LinkedIn who wanted water filters for African regions that were effective AND affordable. I was able to point him to Seychelle.com, the suppliers of our Fill2Pure bottles, but also suppliers of wonderful humanitarian-design filter systems. he says they look good for his uses. Yes!
